Dharmatma - Kalyanji Anandji (1975)

Psychedelic funk breaks aplenty on this record which has been sampled by the likes of Madlib, GZA, and 070 Shake. The film, released in 1975, was a landmark in Indian cinema as it was the first Bollywood film to be shot in Afghanistan. It is known for its thrilling narrative, inspired by "The Godfather," and also for Kalyanji Anandji’s trademark blend of Indian music and funk drum breaks.
